As chironomid pupa ascend to the surface, air trapped under their pupa shuck often gives them a shiny, chrome appearance. The Chromie is designed to imitate exactly that and can be an outstanding pattern. It belongs in the fly box of any serious chironomid angler. Size 12 pictured.
